With this work I wanted to both "concretize" and abstract the portal elements of the inside/outside interface - reconstruct them in a physically neutral environment such as an "art viewing" space. I took found objects and re-presented them in a skin of sprayed cement that helped to separate them from their histories and function in much the same way (in appearance, at least) as the granular makeup of the photographic prints did for my visual images.
