Shadows

Images from the series "Shadows" draw from a source that is literally beneath my feet - the shadow-play of trees projected onto hard surfaces, across sidewalks and up walls. I am interested in the confusion of surface and depth, the conflicting spatial and object information and the sensuous balance of light and shadow.

With these images I was able to explore a harsh urban canvas where Nature makes her marks.
